Round Four/Five (Now featuring EXTRA epicness! <3)

Well, great.

We were *this* close to having things in the bag. Christa, Michelle, Kim, and I would have been the final four. It would have been glorious.

And then Alicia and JT had to screw everything up. Like, I can't even understand what on earth the thought process was here. Alicia told us all she was voting Charlie. She was in on it. She was down with it. Then she SELF VOTES? Are you freakin' kidding me?

JT is even worse. He spends all of this time talking to me about how he has no deals with the guys, and doesn't want to get tied down to them. Then when I warn him that he is, in fact, getting votes from them, what does he do? He runs to Charlie and winds up forcing this tie. Like... thanks, pal! Then he tries to make it all better by saying that he won't let me go anywhere, and he still trusts me. Umm... hell yeah, you better trust me, JT. I just accidentally screwed my alliance by keeping my promise to tell you about the vote.

So now, thanks to Alicia's amazing invisibility, I have to lose my ally, Russell, and I'm pretty much toast in the next couple of rounds. If Michelle gets Immunity, they're going to come after me, and since the rules for self-votes haven't been clarified, we don't actually know whether Alicia will get removed if she continues to self-vote. Hopefully she'll self-vote again in the revote, and then again in the next round, so that those of us who actually give a darn can stick around.

It'll be interesting to see what happens. I think I'll do okay, since I've been a little busy social bee with Gabe, Shawn, and JT, so hopefully even though they're my enemies now I can find a way to suck up to them long enough to formulate a cohesive plan...

Round Five Update

I feel the need to point out that it's not actually my birthday. I picked a random date, and totally forgot that it was today, so when Shawn showed up on AIM to wish me a happy birthday I kind of freaked out a little.

Now I'm telling people that because it's my birthday I deserve Immunity. I'm such a bad person.

Now, I know what you're thinking, out there in PW Land. "Erinn," you're saying, "What the crap? This is your round Four confessional thread. A round five confessional does not belong in the round four confessional thread, on account of four and five being different numbers."

Well, you're wrong. For starters, mathematically four and five can be proven to be approximately equal in a number of ways, according to a couple of formulas which can prove that 1+1=1 meaning that 3+1=3+(1+1). Ergo four and five are equal. Secondly, if you subscribe to the concept of infinity, you can take the view that as infinity is impossible to attain, any given number is as close to infinity as you are able to get, and therefore relative to eternity, all numbers are essentially equal. In this case, four is approximately equal to five.

Anyway, the point is that I'm a genius, and that's why this post is in this thread instead of a new one.

"Whatever, Erinn," says the PWs. "You're just throwing around a bunch of fancy math tricks. Any idiot can do that."

"You can't," says Erinn, tossing her hair.

"Shut up!" snarl the PWs. "And write your confessional!"

"Fine," Erinn sulks, adopting an adorable pouty face and making the PWs feel like jerks.

The truth is, being a genius like I am, I'm well aware that the people with the most threads in their confessionals are the people who have the most going on, and therefore the sneaky people that I need to look out for. That means that Gabe, Kim, and Charlie are all people that are pretty high up there on the Threatometer, and will probably have to be destroyed sooner or later.

Truth be told, this round is going to be really interesting. Alicia, foolish monkey child that she is, has essentially doomed the entire female gender to horrible destruction. Charlie, Gabe, Shawn, and JT have all assured me that I'm not in any danger, but they want Michelle to die. Or Christa.

Like... I understand the revenge factor. I get it. But Alicia is a lot more useless, and if these guys want to get up there on their high horses and get mad at us for taking out strong people, they should set a good example and vote Alicia off.

But, this is a game, and they're hypocrites, so I'm not really holding my breath for that.

What's stupid about this is that JT seems to be totally married to the guys, all of whom were more than prepared to vote him off last round. I don't know what's going to happen. I really don't. I think I'm going to have go nuts, and I seriously hope I get this Immunity.

Will The Curse of Erinn be broken? Will our heroine finally make jury?

Post-Challenge Addition

Well, look at that! I won it! Hooray!

Seriously, you guys have no idea how good this feels right now. I honestly don't even care that my alliance is going straight to hell right now, because I finally beat my own personal demons.

Okay, I lied. I do care that my alliance is going straight to hell...

OR ARE THEY?

That's right, sports fans! While you were sitting there in your ivory towers, fretting about how terrible it was that the delightfully decadent Erinn Lobdell was going to be smote by the unrighteously evil Charlie and his vote-flipping minions, there was actual planning and villainy in the works.

Now, here's what's going down. See, I generally make a solid alliance at the beginning of the game (See: my round one confessional, where I made the "Erinn's Voice Lovers" alliance with Kim.) Then I expand that alliance to include more people (I beieve I mentioned this in round two. This is where I added in Christa and Michelle, all of whom think I'll screw the others and take them. Good times for Erinn.

Now, an idiot would look at this sweet setup and go, "Yes. I will win. Now there is no need to do anything else." But I'm not an idiot. I'm a genius. So I spent the whole game talking to Shawn and Gabe, making sure to pretty carefully avoid making any overtures towards alliances. (Because, after all, I was planning on voting them off, and I didn't want them to feel betrayed.) The fact that I focused on friendship instead of game talk made them a lot more inclined to listen to what this temptress had to say when I came a-knockin' this round, and it looks like for whatever stupid reason I might actually have been able to get rid of Grand Master Charlie.

There are a couple of things to note here. Number one - The Shawn/Darrah connection. It exists, but I have no idea how powerful it is. The Shawn/Gabe connection is also pretty strong, which leads me to believe that the three of them are actually planning something pretty sneaky.

What's hilarious to me is that Shawn told me that he thinks that JT and Alicia are Charlie's alliance's goats. Now, we know that the people who voted for Russell were JT, Shawn, Gabe, Darrah, and Charlie. If Charlie's alliance doesn't include Shawn, Gabe, or Darrah, that means that Charlie's alliance consists of him and two goats. Since that's a pretty stupid thing to assume, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Shawn/Gabe/Darrah are actually a strong alliance which will screw me over in a heartbeat.

If Alicia goes this round like I'm being told she will, that means that there's actually a shot of my girls' foursome being able to pull this off. If I can convince Shawn to get rid of Charlie by making him some kind of trumped-up offer, that would put me and the ladies into a 4/4 scenario. Kim's connection to Charlie sketches me out a little, and I'm more that a tad suspicious of the fact that when Charlie was calling people out for betrayal, he specifically said thank you to "Kim and Erinn," instead of "Erinn and Kim." Which means that he took Kim's betrayal more personally, meaning that he's more loyal to her than me. Meaning that she's probably also more loyal to him than to me, meaning that Charlie needs to go so I can have my final two ally back, thankyouverymuch.

Alternatively, I could simply blow the whistle on Shawn's little shennanigans, and let Charlie know what's going on. If the drama queen finds out that his saviors no longer care about him, he might just side with us long enough to pick off Shawn and Gabe, giving us the advantage.

There's also the little fact that JT was supposed to be getting voted off last round, and the people that he helped round up to vote for Russell are the people who were going to be sending him to the prejury. Just about all of us can attest to that, so if need be we can simply get in his ear and hopefully flip him over to our side. I've been talking trash about JT to Shawn and Gabe, so hopefully they're aware of how untrustworthy he is, meaning they'll be more inclined to boot him.

I'm still not sure what the best move is for me at this point, but it's pretty great to know that there's still hope.
