Can I get a "Hell yeah!"?

Aaaaah, I can't even tell you people how great I am feeling right now. Seriously. It's magical. I have Shawn and Gabe in my corner, I have my Michelle, Christa, Kim foursome, I have a little somethin' somethin' going on with Darrah... I even still have that last little shred of something with Charlie, but I'm pretty sure that this round is gonna bring about the last of it.

What's absolutely shocking to me, and I do mean absolutely, is that for whatever reason, nobody really seems to care about breaking up the ladies' alliance. Like, we got totally exposed during the Charlie vote, we pretty much got outed as public enemies number one, two, three, and four, and I was pretty darn certain that we were gonna be pushing up the daisies pretty soon. But, for whatever reason, the guys just don't seem all that concerned. Sure, Gabe and Shawn don't really like Christa, but really all that I had to do was say, "Eh, we can get her later." And they just kind of went, "Oh, okay," and now they're targetting JT.

If he actually goes home, I will be ecstatic, and not just because I still owe JT a little thank-you for selling me out to Charlie. The only thing I'm really concerned about at this point is the potential threat that Kim poses. I think she's playing a strategy very similar to mine, which means that Kim is probably keeping a wary eye on me. She's definitely a smart player, and I think if there's anybody here that's going to wind up causing trouble for me, it'll be her. (Plus, I've had an iron grip on the Immunity necklace for most of the game, and if there's anybody that's going to steal it from me, it'll be Kim or Charlie, so the sooner the two of them go out, the better a chance I stand of winning my way to the finals.)

I will have a full (and fully awesome) confessional up later, but right now I'm getting my ass kicked by a 10-page paper on World War I poetry.

Alright. Here's where things stand.

Last round, the vote was essentially a massive ball of unrelenting chaos. Gabe wanted to get rid of Christa. Shawn wanted to get rid of Charlie. Darrah wanted to get rid of JT. Charlie wanted to get rid of Michelle. Kim wanted to get rid of Shawn. And then suddenly everybody randomly decides on JT as a target, and boom. Done deal. Right?

Wrong. According to Shawn, Darrah randomly changed her mind at the last minute and called a hit on Michelle. Six-three, Michelle goes home, leaving Kim and I looking like total morons.

Alright, what the crap. This game continues to be *this* close to going beautifully for me. Everything is going totally according to plan, and then someone just randomly PMs people saying the plan has changed and they all just go along with it. I think I'm actually going to try that myself next round. I'll wait until like an hour before the deadline, and just say that the plan changed and now everybody's voting for Darrah. Or something.

So, what now?

Well, there are a couple of options. First and foremost is the obvious strategy of winning Immunity and letting Kim and Christa duke it out. Secondly is the option of losing Immunity by accident, and throwing Kim and Christa under the bus.

Thirdly is the strategy of selling Shawn up the river, which I genuinely would feel bad about. But it might be my only play, to convince Charlie that he's genuinely in danger with those guys. I have the convos to prove that Charlie's nothing but a final five goat to those guys, and who knows? It might just be a good enough strategy to get him to flip.

Darrah's explanation as to why she didn't tell me Michelle was going was grade-A baloney. She was afraid that I was close to Michelle and that if she told me I was going to come after her. Yeah, okay.

Ugggh. I still can't believe that we were this freakin' close to having this stuff in the bag, and Alicia messed it up by self-voting. Like... I can't even tell you.

Either way. I'm going to go hardcore for the Immunity this round, because I know that I need it. If it's a popularity challenge, though, then I'm as good as gone. So if it's a recurrence of the damn plate smashing challenge that got me in Vietnam, Probst, I'm just gonna blow a gasket...

Post-Challenge Update

Oh, you gotta be freakin' kidding me. JT won Immunity. JT. Won Immunity.

Shawn and Gabe wanted him out of here so badly, and it was totally going to go off without a hitch, so that either Darrah's pissedoffness with Shawn would result in him going home, but even if she randomly changed her mind, JT was still a viable backup candidate.

So... dammit. I don't even know what to do about this. Part of me really, really wants to believe that I'm safe, because everybody's promising me that there's no risk of me going home, but I'm not an idiot. I won Immunity four times, so I'm pretty much the biggest threat in the game. They'd have to be idiotic not to want to get rid of me, so I definitely am gonna approach this TC very warily. I want to be on the jury so badly, just to finally be rid of this curse once and for all, and I'm so freakin' close, but I just don't know how on earth I'm gonna be able to get out of this one. I still have my conversations with Shawn talking about how he wants Charlie out, so hopefully that'll be able to cement his doom and save me.

Hahahaha. All I can say right now is a big "WOW". Seriously.

I think this might actually be working. I'm actually pretty proud of how I played this off. PWs, you can see the conversation that Shawn and I had. He didn't directly target Darrah or say that he wanted her off at ALL, but I just pretended that he did. Specifically, I just told her that "somebody" was targetting her. I made sure to tell her it wasn't me, it wasn't Kim, it wasn't Charlie. Then I deliberately signed off of AIM for three hours just to let her stew and ramp up the paranoia. Darrah essentially created this entire scenario in her head without me having to do anything, and now she's going off on this egotistical tirade.

The end result is that Shawn is probably gonna go home, and now Gabe is absolutely furious with Darrah, so even if Shawn stays, he and Gabe are going to help me take her out next.

If this actually works... I think I might actually be in a good position. I can't believe it. I thought I was so screwed, you have no idea. Maybe I've finally fluked into the Erinn magic that she had going in Tocantins, where she was unrighteously boned, but still managed to make the final three. We'll see...
